Mango's response to layoffs & unpaid wages due to declining orders

In line with our commitment to responsible purchasing practices and transparency in our supply chain, we would like to provide you with the following clarifications regarding the mentioned suppliers:

  • Fashion Knit Garments has not been part of Mango’s supply chain since 2023, and there are currently no plans to resume production with this supplier. As a result, Mango has no direct involvement or leverage in the recent events related to partial layoffs reported at the factory.
  • Production with Salgado & Neto ceased in 2024, following the company’s bankruptcy due to financial difficulties. No further allocation of production has been possible with this supplier since that time.
  • Modist CEPZ remains a current supplier, although only a limited number of pending orders are left for delivery. Nonetheless, Mango is currently assessing and considering whether to continue working or not with this factory due to ongoing issues concerning both product quality and overall factory performance. Despite this decision, responsibility for the payment of workers’ wages, including the matters referenced in the news, has been firmly communicated to the supplier
