Myanmar: Garment workers at Synergy Garment factory report several rights abuses incl. physical & verbal abuse; incl. co. responses

In October 2023, it was reported that workers at Synergy Garment factory were facing a series of violations, including physical and verbal abuse against workers (including pulling workers' hair), garment workers forced to work overtime every day including on Sundays, most workers working unpaid overtime, workers dismissed or demoted if they don't work overtime on Sunday, workers denied a gate pass to leave the factory and denial of leave.

In January 2024, the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Gemo, MANGO and Lidl to respond. Full responses below.
