After nearly seven years of attempting to lay the foundations for the Free Trade Area of the Americas, a 434-page text of the proposed accord suggests the nations agree on virtually nothing. The document was released by the governments of 34 countries in an effort to dampen criticism over the secrecy of the negotiations, but the release has sparked rather than quelled more outcry from opponents to the trade agreement.
