Oil share must be clear - Bunyoro MPs [Uganda]

MPs from oil-rich Bunyoro sub-region have demanded that government must stipulate their percentage share of the anticipated oil revenue...[They] said government has not responded to Bunyoro’s demand for a 20 per cent share of total revenues. “We have consulted with the people of Bunyoro and they are demanding a minimum of 20 per cent of the total share of the national resource to develop the infrastructure and re-invest in social- economic activities. We want to be involved in the oil process,” Buyaga West MP Barnabas Tinkasiimire said.
