Qatar: BWI VP welcomes German football team "commitment" to migrant workers' rights ahead of 2022 World Cup

In recent weeksEuropean national and league football teams have made public statements criticising the human rights record of World Cup 2022 host-Qatar; some have called for a boycott.

On 9 April BWI Vice President Dietmar Schäfers wrote to the German national team to welcome their commitment to help improve the working conditions of migrant workers in Qatar. His letter (in German) can be read below in full.
