UK Export Finance response to alleged human rights violations at TotalEnergies’ Mozambique LNG project

A UKEF Spokesperson said: "UK Export Finance takes recent media reports of alleged human rights infringement extremely seriously and officials are looking further into the matters raised in the articles. UKEF is currently in discussion with the project sponsors, including TotalEnergies, regarding the latest status of the project and the potential for the security situation to improve. These discussions and processes remain commercially sensitive, and therefore it would not be appropriate to comment further at this time."
