Activist-filmmaker Min Htin Ko Ko Gyi was arrested on the first day of the 2021 military coup. He is a prominent filmmaker and founder of the Human Dignity Film Institute. He produced an award-winning documentary Floating Tomatoes about the floating tomato farms of Inle Lake in Myanmar, and the disastrous effects of pesticide use on the water, crops, and the Intha people.
