OCK Group Berhad did not respond

Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited OCK Group Berhad (OCK) to respond to a report by Myanmar Now concerning an allegation that the “[…] Myanmar military has laid landmines at telecommunications towers owned by or leased to mobile operators […]” including OCK. The report also alleged that the company has not published any warnings or details of landmines that have been allegedly planted by the military around their towers, which represent a severe people safety challenge for operations and maintenance staff, and for the communities living around tower sites. OCK did not respond.
