Mesures prises: After the workers complained to the Sri Lanka embassy in Kuwait, the embassy intervened to repatriate them. They also requested all Sri Lankan workers abroad to register with the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) when seeking emlpoyment abroad.

[they] had complained to the Sri Lankan embassy in Kuwait, of unpaid salaries and lack of benefits according to the service contract signed in Sri Lanka... The Embassy will inquire into the matter of the migrant workers and the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) has requested all migrant workers to register with the Bureau for protection when seeking employment go abroad.
