Nestlé response to press release by European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights regarding dismissal of criminal complaint by Swiss prosecutors

We have taken note of the decision of the Attorney General of the Canton of Vaud not to proceed with the legal action and we repeat once again that we categorically reject all accusations, since they are contrary to the facts. We reject the allegations of the plaintiffs and the European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights and will mount a vigorous defence. The Sinaltrainal trade union has never produced any evidence to support its claims that Nestlé was complicit in the murder of union officials in Colombia. It has failed to win any of its legal actions against the company. Nestlé condemns all forms of violence. We have never used violence, nor have we associated with criminals. We have no responsibility whatsoever, directly or indirectly, neither by action nor omission for the murder of Luciano Romero.
