An investigative report by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists claim that consulting, accounting and law firms played a key role in helping Africa’s wealthiest woman amass and shield a fortune. PwC, Boston Consulting Group and other major firms facilitated dos Santos’ efforts to profit off her country’s wealth, apparently ignoring red flags along the way. In response, PwC says it has launched an internal investigation into its dealings with the billionaire. Eurobic, a Portuguese bank where the billionaire holds significant shareholding has “terminate[d] the commercial relationship with entities controlled by [Dos Santos] and people closely related [to her]”.
