Residents living near the Greenbushes lithium mine in Western Australia say dust and noise from Talison Lithium’s operations have made daily life unbearable, with some fearing long-term health impacts. The mine has allegedly exceeded regulated dust limits multiple times over the past year. While Talison’s CEO has expressed regret over the impact of the expansion, locals argue current guidelines are not fit for purpose and are vowing to intensify their fight for stronger protections.
