ソース

La Machi was violently detained in March 2016, for allegedly being involved in the arson attack that claimed the life of the Luchsinger-Mackay in January 2013. Despite being acquitted by the same case at the time, she faces charges of terrorism and faces life imprisonment. Local NGOs say she is in jail as a result of her fights against illegal logging in her region of southern Chile and for proving Chile’s violation of an international treaty protecting indigenous rights. (Linconao is a Machi, a revered healer of bodies and spirits in the Mapuche tradition.) According to international NGOs, the accusation against her, evidenced by a testimony which was allegedly obtained under threats and torture, is illegal and in violation of the Inter-American Convention on Human Rights and ILO Convention 169, according to NGOs."
