GLOBAL COMPACT: Special Adviser To Annan Reportedly Quitting

The United Nations will allow the contract of former Asea Brown and Boveri head Goran Lindahl, a special adviser to U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan on the Global Compact, to expire today without seeking to renew it, the Financial Times reports. Lindahl has been the object of controversy over a pension payment he received from his former employer.
