Malawi telecommunications company offers scholarships for visually disabled girls

"TNM launches scholarships for Malawi blind girls" 14 October 2014

In keeping with its promise to assist students with vulnerable groups, TNM...[has launched the] 2014/15 Academic Year Scholarship Program worth K2.3 million for 18 girls with visual and hearing disabled. The scholarship program is an annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative that TNM runs through Hope for Blind, a Non-Governmental Organisation working to uplift welfare of visually challenged people. TNM Head of Lilongwe Region, Danny Malisita said TNM as a caring Malawian brand remains firmly committed to empowering girls by enabling them to achieve their goals through attainment of quality education.
