Myanmar: Garment workers reportedly denied leave at alleged H&M supplier; incl. co. response

In October 2023, it was reported that workers at Tong Ying HK (Garment) were reported as absent when they take leave, so are denied owed payments, reducing their wages. Workers are also fired if they take more than two days off, and report that the Workplace Coordination Committee works in favour of the employer, so does not support them with their concerns.

In January 2024, the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited H&M to respond. Full response below.
