New Yorker response to Clean Clothes Campaign update on Spectrum-Shahriyar factory collapse

We do not know who originally spread the information that allegedly NEW YORKER was a customer of the textile production company in Savar where the tragic accident occurred. This information is wrong. At no point in time did New Yorker have a contractual re-lationship to this company, let alone placed an order for production.
