Next's Response, publicly recognising the FTZ&GSEU union and confirming intention of initiating bilateral talks

"Recognition Letter to WoW, CCC, BHRRC", 30 March 2021

We confirm that NEXT will recognise the rights of the FTZ & GSEU Union as representative of its workers in the NML Katunayake Plant in Sri Lanka, and will begin the bilateral engagement with the union to be the agent of collective bargaining in the NML Katunayke plant.

As a first step we have been advised that a process of registration of the workers who have joined FTZ&GSEU Trade Union should now take place, followed by an offsite meeting that will be arranged between the representatives of the FTZ&GSEU Trade Union and the local NML management.
