The planned construction of a new unit at the Bulgarian nuclear power plant (NPP) Kozloduy is opposed to by Romanian citizens, who live on the opposite bank of the Danube river. The citizens of the Romanian town Dabuleni, who claim to have long suffered from the radiation emitted by the NPP, expressed willingness to protest against the planned construction…Bulgaria's Environment Ministry approved the environmental impact assessment (EIA) of the planned nuclear unit last week.
