A meeting took place on March 16 between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Alexander Yakovenko and John Ruggie, United Nations Secretary General's Special Representative on Human Rights and Transnational Corporations and Other Business Enterprises, who is visiting Moscow in connection with the International Forum “On Business and Human Rights: Protect, Respect, and Remedy.” Yakovenko and Ruggie thoroughly discussed the activities of the Special Representative in the context of his mandate and the relevant UN General Assembly resolutions.
