Tanzania: Video claims local paralysed after police beating at Acacia' subsidiary's mine; company denies allegations

A video claims Zakaria Nyamakomo was paralysed from injuries allegedly caused by police beating at North Mara mine. He further alleges that he reported to the mine's Grievance Mechanism office but if yet to receive any help. Acacia has denied the allegations and alleged that "he was injured when he fell while trespassing and attempting to steal gold in the middle of the night on the North Mara Gold Mine in 2013".
