Vietnam: Garment manufacturer lays off over 1000 workers & shuts down production after drop in orders; incl. co. responses

In December 2023, it was reported that Garmex Saigon had laid off 1,947 workers and shut down production, after recording a decline in revenue due to a drop in orders.

In March 2024, Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Columbia Sportswear, New Wave Group (for Cutter & Buck and Craft), Decathlon, Descente, Gameguard Outdoors, Le Coq Sportif, Outfit International, Stio, TOPO Designs, VF Corp (for The North Face and Dickies).
