Jason Goward was arrested last July for locking himself to a piece of pipeline equipment, protesting against Line 3 pipeline. His charges were eventually dropped after his case was transferred to Red Lake tribal court. Initially, he worked in the construction of the pipeline. He is also part of the Ojibwe tribe.
