In June 2015, the French Apples and Pears Association (l’Association Nationale Pommes Poires-ANPP) filed a lawsuit against Greenpeace France over an article that Greenpeace published under the title “Poisoned Apples – Ending Orchard Contamination Through Ecological Agriculture” (Pommes Empoisonnées – Mettre fin à la contamination des vergers grâce à l’agriculture écologique, in French). The Association argued that the title affected apples' consumption and demanded Greenpeace to change the name. In March 2017, the Court of Appeal of Paris dismissed the lawsuit and ordered the Association to pay 5.000 euros to Greenpeace France for damages.
