Four people died at the Irtyshsky mine in East Kazakhstan, 31 August 2024

The bodies of four people were found...in the Irtyshsky mine in the East Kazakhstan region. Two of them were workers at the mine, where copper and zinc ore is extracted, and other two were employees of a contractor. The deaths of the miners were reported by the KAZ Minerals group, which includes the Vostoktsvetmet enterprise that controls the Irtysh mine.

According to the preliminary version, the workers died because of gas intoxication.
