On May 25, 2025, the United Nations Global Compact "Sustainable Infrastructure for the Belt and Road Initiative to Accelerate the SDGs" Action Platform (the UNGC BRI Action Platform) [...] co-hosted the Inaugural Global Business Summit on Belt and Road Infrastructure Investment for Better Business Better World and Sustainable Development Goals in Jakarta. During the summit, a total of 24 global leading photovoltaic companies such as JA Solar, JinkoSolar, Tongwei Co., LONGi, GCL Group, along with other enterprises [...] jointly released the "Initiative for Global Solar Sustainable Alliance (GSSA) to accelerate Energy Transition."

This initiative is committed to strengthen the sustainable development of the entire industry chain [...]. It intends to promote the construction of green minerals at the source, protect the ecological environment and biodiversity, build an equitable society for common good, and foster inclusive and sustainable growth.
The initiative covers three core areas and proposes specific suggestions for actions. The signatories of the initiative pledge to jointly develop a detailed action roadmap and collaborate with other stakeholders [...].
