Workers fired from a Lexmark International printer cartridge factory in Ciudad Juárez have taken down a protest camp that endured more than five months after they reached a settlement with the company resolving their claims…An attorney representing about 50 workers said the terms of the settlement reached earlier this month could not be released, per the agreement. Last fall, the fired workers erected a camp at the plant entrance where they protested around the clock. “The workers could no longer resist after five months and one week,” attorney Susana Prieto Terrazas said. “They didn’t have any way to support their families.” “All we are saying in regards to (the) settlement question is that we have reached (an) agreement with our former employees,” Lexmark spokesman Jerry Grasso said.
