The citizens of Mojkovac blocked traffic for an hour: They demand that the Government terminate the concession for the mine as soon as possible, 9 March 2024

The government did not make a decision...after the interdepartmental commission proposed the termination of the concession contract with the company Brskovo mine, which is owned by the Swiss company Tara Resources.

Citizens, who oppose the construction of the Brskovo mine in Mojkovac, protested...at the bridge in that town and blocked traffic on the highway leading to Podgorica for half an hour.

They asked the Government to make a decision as soon as possible that there will be no Brskovo mine in Mojkovac, as was also concluded by the interdepartmental commission that dealt with this issue.

In the meantime, the government announced that, when it comes to the contract with the Brskovo mine company, whose owner is the Swiss firm Tara Resources, it will wait for the opinion of the international legal team, in order to determine whether the termination of the contract harms the state.
