OHCHR Helpdesk on Business and Human Rights
What is the Helpdesk on Business and Human Rights?
The OHCHR Helpdesk on Business and Human Rights (BHR Helpdesk) is a resource available to the public to seek official OHCHR positions on the meaning and application of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs).
The BHR Helpdesk was born out of a growing demand from States, business, civil society, and other stakeholders for authoritative guidance and clarification of the UNGPs. In response to this, and as the guardian of the UNGPs, OHCHR established this global resource to ensure that the UNGPs are interpreted, understood and implemented in a consistent manner across jurisdictions and industries.
The BHR Helpdesk is complementary to other similar initiatives at the national, regional, and international levels; a network of helpdesk practitioners has been established to exchange on activities and on common challenges, approaches, and good practices. [...]
