Prem Power Construction response re- alleged labour rights abuse of Indian workers in Tunisia

…As of 29.10.2025 (day of reporting ) no salary was due to them. The only salary due was for the month of October, which was running, which would have normally been paid by mid-November.

The workers however, using social media, black mailed and insisted on payments which were not payable to them.

In order to get over this nuisance being created by the workers and spoiling the image of the country we agreed to conditions imposed by workers. These conditions imposed by them went against the agreements entered between us and workers…

they were actually working for less than 8 hours every day (around 6-7 hours per day) and also claimed money for period when they entered Tunisia rather than when they started work after clearing the GMT test (medical) . They demanded 2.5 times of the money due to them.

Even though this money was not due, we agreed to pay this money which has been transferred to their accounts

They have now gone back to India on 4th, 5th and 6th November. They were required to work in Tunisia for a period of more than 12 months but worked less than 2 months…
