The Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited PT Cetara Bangun Persada to respond to a report citing the company as one with the largest concessions for nickel mining in Indonesia. The report alleges that nickel mining resulted to “disappearing food reserves and water sources, deforestation, the diminishing biodiversity, the widespread pollution smearing water, air, and sea, as well as continuing social conflicts”. The company did not respond.
