In February 2025, it was reported that four construction workers, including two Chinese migrant workers, were killed after an under-construction highway overpass collapsed. Six others were injured in the incident.

Al Jazeera reported that Hyundai Engineering was the builder of the site. It apologies for the loss of lives and said it was cooperating with the relevant authorities “to ensure a swift site recovery and a thorough investigation into the exact cause of the accident”.
