DTC Advertising Informs Patients About Untreated Diseases, New Treatments, PhRMA Tells Senate Subcommittee [USA]

Direct-to-consumer (DTC) advertising of prescription medicines informs consumers about new medical treatments and improves public health, Gregory J. Glover, M.D., J.D., told the Subcommittee on Consumer Affairs, Foreign Commerce, and Tourism of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation at a hearing today. Glover, a licensed physician and practicing attorney represented the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA).
