General Motors response

  • GM suspended vehicle imports to Russia on February 28, 2022, and significantly extended the suspension in April, 2022, as the company was unable to support customers with vehicles or parts. We shut down our Russia business in November 2022.
  • GM is committed to complying with the laws that apply to our business worldwide, including the Russia sanctions.
  • The partners with whom we work in the region are also obliged to comply with all applicable laws.
  • The company has well established legal, due diligence and compliance protocols covering our operations and our agreements with third parties.
  • As part of our global trade compliance program, we continue to monitor developments in and related to Russia, including the evolving international sanctions, and their impact on our global business.
