ICAR is pleased to share that La Unidad de Protección a Defensoras y Defensores de Derechos Humanos, Guatemala (UDEFEGUA) has published a shadow National Baseline Assessment (NBA) of the implementation of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights in Guatemala, and accompanying "General Considerations" based on the NBA's findings. This NBA represents one of the most exhaustive studies of Guatemala laws, policies, regulations, and standards that pertain to business and human rights at the national level.
