The National Anti-Mining Front (Frente Nacional Antiminero - FNA), a coalition made up of peasant communities, indigenous peoples, community water authorities and rural and urban collectives, claims that one of the lawyers for the mining company Curimining allegedly used the social network ‘X’ and a report on the Teleamazonas channel to defame the FNA on 27 June 2025, saying that they were ‘allied with organised crime and illegal mining’, in an attempt to stigmatise their work and opposition to mega-mining.
