BBVA reinforces its commitment to education in Latin America with a project that will benefit more than eight million people through 2021

Francisco González, Chairman and CEO of BBVA, and Álvaro Marchesi, secretary general of the Organization of Ibero-American states (OEI) forged an alliance at the Ibero-American Conference on Education to help improve state educational policies in Latin America. Francisco González also announced BBVA’s educational goals for 2021, by which time the entity estimates that eight million people will have benefited from the program and one million scholarships will have been granted. BBVA will roll out five programs aligned with four of the OEI’s educational goals.
