Fast Retailing's response to 'Who pays for the crisis' tracker allegations - March 2024

Brandix Essentials

Fast Retailing has worked with Brandix for many years. As one of our production partners, Brandix has manufactured products for Fast Retailing products in several locations in its network. Then Brandix Essential factory case you raise relates to the end of 2022. However, Brandix Essentials ceased producing for Fast Retailing in February 2021, in full consultation with Brandix. Brandix continues to manufacture for Fast Retailing in other locations today. Fast Retailing has received no feedback or concerns from Brandix on this topic through our regular questionnaire on purchasing practices, or through other communication.

Sun Kyoung Vietnam

The Sun Kyoung Vietnam was a subcontractor for one of Fast Retailing production-partner companies. Our understanding is that a decision to close Sun Kyoung Vietnam was taken for strategic reasons, in consultation and mutual agreement between the company and the factory owner. Although Fast Retailing did not have any direct contractual relationship with Sun Kyoung Vietnam, we confirmed with the company and the factory that all statutory payments were made following the factory closure. In addition, we worked with the company to minimize impact on workers, requesting that the company find positions for workers seeking roles in other factories managed by the company.
