Mazda has returned to Russian market
"Mazda has returned to the Russian market", 26 May 2025
Autonews.ru reported that Mazda has officially resumed deliveries of its vehicles to Russia. The company is supplying its CX-5 and CX-50 models through local partners, with some vehicles already available in dealerships and others stored in a central warehouse.
The return follows Mazda’s 2022 exit from the Russian market after the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The cars now entering the market are primarily sourced from China and come with a warranty of three years or 100,000 kilometers, whichever comes first.
Mazda’s move has been criticized on the grounds that imports and tax contributions could indirectly support Russia’s war efforts.
