Myanmar: Workers at Shinsung Garment report several rights abuses incl. verbal abuse, low overtime pay & denial of leave; Incl. co. responses

In July 2023, it was reported that workers at Shinsung Garment factory were facing a series of violations, including verbal abuse, excessive production targets, low overtime pay, denial of leave and wage cuts if workers take leave, inadequate medical provisions at the factory, workers forced to clean the factory.

In October 2023, Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Lidl and Shinsung Tongsang (for its Top Ten brand) to respond. The responses can be found below.
