Nigeria: Communities in Bayelsa state suffering from recurrent Agip oil spills - parliament urges company to clean up spills

Following the explosion of a pipeline belonging to Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) in Bayelsa State that left 13 people dead and several others injured in July 2015, communities in Bayelsa have reported recurrent oil spills from NAOC pipelines. Bayelsa State government has demanded that NAOC clean up over 1000 oil spill sites by 31 December 2015.  We invited ENI, the controlling shareholder of NAOC, to respond.
