Sverdlovsk Regional Court upholds Rosprirodnadzor’s position in administrative case against JSC “Uralgidromed,” 10 November 2025
The Sverdlovsk Regional Court confirmed the legality of the decision issued by the Ural Interregional Directorate of Rosprirodnadzor to hold JSC “Uralgidromed” administratively liable for violations of environmental legislation.
Earlier, the authority had conducted a scheduled on-site inspection of the company, which operates in the city of Polevskoy, Sverdlovsk region. Following the inspection, administrative cases were initiated against JSC “Uralgidromed” under Part 1 of Article 8.2, Article 8.46, and Article 8.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, and a fine of 200,000 rubles was imposed. Disagreeing with the decision, the company appealed it in court.
By decision of the Zheleznodorozhny District Court of Yekaterinburg, the violations under Articles 8.46 and 8.1 of the Code were upheld, while the fine was reduced to 80,000 rubles.
JSC “Uralgidromed” subsequently appealed again, seeking to replace the fine with a warning. However, the Sverdlovsk Regional Court upheld both the regulator’s decision and the lower court ruling, confirming the lawfulness of holding the company liable.
