Vietnam: New Trade Union Law enables foreign workers to join unions; key challenges remain

Vietnam introduces new Law on Trade Union that will enter into force from 1 July 2025. The Law was passed in November 2024. One of the key changes to the new Law is that it enables foreign workers to join a union after working at least for 12 months in Vietnam.
