YouTube's response

21 February 2022

Our teams have been vigilant and have removed thousands of videos and hundreds of channels since the beginning of the coup in Myanmar. We have strict policies that prohibit hate on YouTube, including content promoting violence or hatred against individuals or groups. Since October 2020, we have removed over 20K videos uploaded from an IP address in Myanmar for violating our community guidelines. All our policies are global, and we apply them consistently regardless of the uploader. More than 20,000 people around the world, including those with Burmese language expertise, work to review and remove content that violates these policies.”
