Indonesia Weda Bay Industrial Park (IWIP) is an integrated industrial area for nickel mining and processing located in Lelilef Village, Weda District, Central Halmahera Regency, North Maluku Province.

IWIP is one of Indonesia’s National Strategic Projects (PSN), as designated under Presidential Regulation No. 109 of 2020.

IWIPis reportedly to be supported by several investors, including Tsingshan Group, Huayou Holding Group, and Zhenshi Holding Group.

The purpose of establishing IWIP is to facilitate the downstream processing of nickel minerals into raw materials for electric vehicle batteries.

IWIP claims to employ more than 10,000 personnel and provides infrastructure such as a port, power plants, and smelters for its tenants.
