ClientEarth are recruiting four Litigation Lawyers. 

Litigation Team Leader, Climate Litigation, London

This is an exciting and challenging role for an experienced litigator to lead and manage our new climate litigation team, which will use litigation and similar legal interventions to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon world. The successful candidate will be required to master the relevant legal, commercial, policy and political terrain; they will also be required to evaluate the opportunities for developing strategic litigation and other legal interventions that would shift perceptions amongst a range of actors affecting decision making within the corporate community (regulators, governments, investors, company directors and boards, etc.) as to the need to realign their actions to take account of scientific realities concerning the risk of dangerous climate change and the global public interest in averting this outcome. The role will require the delivery of cutting edge litigation in the courts of the UK and the management of such litigation in other countries.

Funding for this position is initially for three years, the role is based in ClientEarth's London office.

Climate Litigation Lawyers, Company/Financial - London x2

These exciting and challenging roles are designed for two lawyers to make a key contribution to developing and delivering our new climate litigation work. The focus of the roles is to advance our work on using litigation and similar legal interventions to change corporate and investment behaviour in relation to climate change. The successful candidates will be required to analyse the relevant legal, policy, commercial and political terrain and identify opportunities for developing strategic litigation and other legal interventions to improve corporate and/or investment transparency and decision making in relation climate change.

Funding for this position is initially for three years, the role is based in ClientEarth's London office.

Clean Air Lawyer, London or Brussels office

This exciting and challenging role is designed for a lawyer to make a key contribution to developing and delivering our clean air work. The focus of the role will be to utilise EU air pollution law in order to protect human health, the environment and the climate. This will involve both implementation and enforcement of existing EU air pollution legislation together with work on the development of new EU air pollution directives which are currently being negotiated in Brussels. The work will build on ClientEarth's existing air pollution work, including our ongoing judicial review case against the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.

The successful candidate will be required to analyse the relevant legal, policy, and political terrain and identify opportunities for developing and implementing strategic legal interventions to uphold the right to clean air in the UK and other EU member states.

Funding for this position is initially for three years. The role is based in ClientEarth's London or Brussels office.
