Prospect Research Officer at Global Witness

Do you have a track record of excellent prospect research to advance the goals of an international campaigning organisation? Are you passionate about justice, human rights and the environment?

If so, Global Witness is currently looking for a diligent, dedicated Prospect Research Officer to join our fundraising team and to develop our individual major giving programme.

For two decades, Global Witness has run pioneering campaigns against natural resource-related conflict and corruption and associated environmental and human rights abuses. Our work has revealed how, rather than benefiting a country’s citizens, abundant timber, diamonds, minerals, oil and other natural resources can incentivise corruption, destabilise governments, and lead to war.

The Prospect Research Officer is a key member of Global Witness’ growing fundraising team and will be responsible for identifying individual major donor ‘targets’ and prospects, for carrying out research and ethical screening, and preparing briefings, biographies, and detailed research profiles to further the fundraising objectives of Global Witness, specifically to meet the objectives of the Open Society Foundations Challenge Fund.
