Embun Karisma Resources Malaysia Recruitment agencies Company Response

Sources

On 12 April 2022, Andy Hall, a labour rights researcher and a migrant workers' rights advocate, was sued with two defamation suits filed by Datuk R Muthusamy the director of Embun Karisma Resources, a foreign workers' recruitment firm, alleging that his reputation has been damaged. The suits argued that Hall sent an email to companies, government departments, and NGOs, accusing Muthusamy of bribing Hall with a consultancy offer at a leading electronics manufacturing service company. The lawsuits include a total of RM60 million in damages (around USD 14 million) and seek an apology. We invited the company to respond. They did not do so.
