Bangladesh: Workers stage protest against Dhaka garment factory alleging non-payment of leave & maternity allowances, dismissals without cause & torture

About a thousand workers of Dhamrai (Dhaka)garment factory, Momo Fashions Ltd., staged a protest alleging that the company does not follow labour laws. An article stated that the company “does not provide workers leave allowance and maternity leave allowance, and that factory authorities terminate and sack workers without any cause”. Further, that “workers were even tortured”.

Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Momo Fashions Ltd. to respond. The company did not.
