Brazil: Brazil Potash tries to make feasible ore exploration that will impact Mura indigenous people

Since 2015, the company Brazil Potash has been trying to make mining viable at the Autazes deposit (a municipality 112 kilometres from Manaus), but the project will have direct impact on indigenous territories of the Mura people. The Federal Court states that the environmental licence for the project will only be granted by environmental authorities after consultation with the Mura affected, in addition to requiring authorisation from the National Congress.
